Matthew Ch. 17

Mat 17:1 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves;
Mat 17:2 and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.

There are more details about these verses in Lucas Chapter 9:28-29

Luk 9:28 Now it came to pass, about eight days after these sayings, that He took Peter, John, and James and went up on the mountain to pray.
Luk 9:29 As He prayed, the appearance of His face was altered, and His robe became white and glistening.

Jesus changed his face through the prayer. Praying can let people’s heart pure and promote people’s mind more like the holy God. After every Sabbath or especially convercation we can feel that our mind and spiritual change and grow up, because of listening of God’s word and more praying. God created human in his own image, so our looks and behaviors should be always kept to be like him, face shining like the sun and the clothes is white and glistening. Praying is the most important lesson in our daily life. When you get in trouble or in helpless, do you ever think to pray? Do you ever ask yourself every day, have you prayed yet?

this is what i like so much about sharing our reflections. we can see from the same passage, two different people will focus on different aspects of that passage. that way, we are able to see different teachings from just 1 verse, and our spiritual wisdom gets multiplied becaues of everyone's input :) Keep up the great inspirations!

"Heile du mich HERR, so werde ich heil; hilf du mir, so ist mir geholfen; denn du bist mein Ruhm.
