This chapter is not only a very long on (over one double page long) but its content is also very intense and tells a important historical occasion for the religion and our faith and of course the basis for our hope. It is the first part where Jesus suffered, died and finally resurrected.
But my verse for today is
"30When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives."
It is the first time that i read this verse. And it did kind of surprise me that Jesus once had sung.
It was not something impossible but I never thought of it. So we also shall sing to praise and glorify.
In happy times but also when we gather together like Jesus was with his desciples.
Songs and their lyriks can have effect on us in times of need but also when we can not express some fellings. The bible tells us to sing when we are happy and to pray if we are sad at heart.
So we should pray than to be able to sing more. Otherwise we might be too sad to sing:)
