Mark 05

Mk.5:22 And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet


"And behold". Behold what? Behold, a ruler of a synagogue came to Jesus to fall at Jesus' feet and to ask him for something. He was actually very brave to do this. Because as we know, the Pharisees and the scribes disliked Jesus and i guess, that they convinced the rulers of the synagogues to reject Jesus.
However, he still had this courage to come before Jesus and also to fall down before him.

What we can learn from him, is to humble ourselves before God!Maybe some of you know the saying 進廟欺神 (as you are close to the temple of God, and you know each other well, you start to lose your respect for God and you don't take him that serious anymore).
If it becomes like that we have to ask ourselves immediately: What is God for us? What is faith for us?
