Mark 6.

“34[…] they were like sheep without a shepherd. […]

Is this not a sad image? And it is also reminding that we need a shepherd or that there somehow should be a shepherd. When you think of sheep you will automatically think of a shepherd. These two things belong together and should be together. How can someone be a shepherd when there are no sheep? And how can you be a sheep flock without a shepherd. Of course these two can exist without the other but it would be like that something is always missing and there is a hole which you can not fill on your own. Therefore I hope that we will not become like sheep without a shepherd which have to walk on their own.
