Two observations in this chapter.
1. "Is it I, Lord?"(Mt 26.21)
When Jesus told disciples that one of them would betray him, they all felt sorrow and asked one by one, "Is it I, Lord?" I think it's a good attitude--always examing or reflecting from our own. Even though the disciples never believe themselves would be the one who will betray, they still make their thoughts checked by Jesus. So, we can often ask in the prayer in the same way, to keep ourselves under Jesus's sight and to check if there is any evil neglected or unknown in our mind. Just as David's prayer,
"Who has full knowledge of his errors? make me clean from secret evil. (Ps 19.12)"
We should pray for our hidden faults.
2. Comparison these dialogue:
"Peter says to him, Even if I am put to death with you, I will not be false to you. So said all the disciples.(Mt 26.33)"
"And he comes to the disciples, and sees that they are sleeping, and says to Peter, What, were you not able to keep watch with me one hour?(Mt 26.40)"
Peter and all disciples see themselves with very strong faith and alliance with Jesus, but actually they are even not able to keep watching and preying with Jesus for one hour. That's why Jesus reminded them with emotion,
"Keep watch with prayer, so that you may not be put to the test: the spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is feeble.(Mt 26.41)"
