Mark Ch1

32-35 “That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed [...] and Jesus healed many […] and drove out many demons. […]Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

What I just wanted to show was that Jesus might not slept very long that night. He healed while the sun already was set and he got up to pray when the sun was still not out. It seems that in that time there where many sick people and people possessed by demons. And today? Can we observe demon possessed people? What is the appearance today?

In this first chapter of mark there are many things simplyfied and shortened.

many times after jesus performs great miracle we witness jesus retreating to a solitary place and sends his disciples away too. this is definitely a way to remind us not to dwell upon the great things we did for God and to take glory for those things. instead, Jesus retreated to pray in these incidences, perhaps to thank God. in sending his disciples away, he prevents them from becoming proud from the people who might want to praise them.

we too, in these circumstances should retreat and pray to God and thank Him for his help so that we can do His work, and to remember that without God, we are nothing, and to give all the glory to God for our work.
