Matthew Chapter 24

Chapter 24 talks about the endtime. The two main points, which Jesus mentions, for us in the endtime are:

• Mt.24:13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
• Mt.24:42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.

So we know, that in the endtime we have to endure and watch in order to be saved. We all know that this is very difficult (see the disciples at Jesus' time:
To watch:Mt.26:40 "Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping"
To endure to the end: Mt. 26:56 "Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled.").

In actual fact to "endure" and "watch" belongs together. In order to endure we have to watch. But Jesus tells us that only watching is not enough, but we also have to "pray, lest [we] enter into temptation." (Mt.26,41)
