Matthew Ch. 16

At first, sorry for the delay of bible sharing. Now I am going to beginning with my topic.

Mat 16:1-4
Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing Him asked that He would show them a sign from heaven. He answered and said to them, "When it is evening you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red'; "and in the morning, 'It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.' Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. "A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah." And He left them and departed.

Sometimes when our faiths are weak, we may forget that God is always surrounding by us and ask God can show some signs to strengthen his faith. Some people who don’t believe in God may also say, if God can show me a sign then I will believe him. But what is faith?

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Mat 17;20 if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

If we have already seen something exist, then the existence is just a condition not faith. Faith is we believe the thing exists that we have not seen and truly believe it. We believe that there is a true God and nothing for him is impossible. As long as we take look carefully at everything surrounding us, we can tell that God always takes his hand to protect us and leads our way. For example, praying with Holy Spirit. That is a sign that God stays with you and God’s mercy has given to you.

Just as in Mt11.7-9, Jesus asked 3 questions as a series:

"What did you go out into the desert to see? A reed swayed by the wind?
If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear fine clothes are in kings' palaces.
Then what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet."

So, the point is not anymore WHAT the facts over there, but HOW we see. Those we saw and interpreted finally become the signs and our comprehension about God. And that would also become our basis of faith. So, how to see the things surrounding us is indeed important.

So, Lord asked Jeremiah:
"What do you see, Jeremiah?
I see the branch of an almond tree, I replied.
The LORD said to me, You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled. (Jr 1.11-12)"

Hope that we all can see carefully and correctly as God wishes.
