Mark Chapter 02

Mk.2:27 And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.

Here we see, that the Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. God does not want to restrict us in order to make our life more difficult. But he wants to help us in our daily life. He does not force us to do nothing on Sabbath, but he gives us a chance to rest on that day. And not only to rest physically but also psychologically.
If we take advantage of this, then we are blessed on this day and our body and spirit can rest in God (that's something very important!!!).

So: If we keep the Sabbath, we will do good to ourselves. But if we don't we will not harm God, but we will harm ourselves (our spiritual life and maybe also our physical life). God will not be hurt, if we don't keep the Sabbath.

i know what you mean when you say "God will not be hurt if we don't keep the Sabbath". but i don't want other people to misunderstand that it's ok that we do not keep the Sabbath if it is our wish to keep busy and not take advantage of the day that God gave us. in fact, God will be hurt emotionally, like a parent would be hurt if the child does not listen to the parent when it is for the child's own good. like a parent wanting the child to go to college and get a decent job in the future so they can live a good life, but the child refuses to go to college because of laziness and eventually end up on the streets homeless. the parent will be sad, just as God will be sad if we do not listen to His good advice and do what will benefit us in the end. that is the case with all of God's commandments, they are made for the good of mankind. of course it does not affect God like you say if we do not keep any of His commandments. but because God is our Father, He will be sad if we do not want to benefit ourselves by taking His advice so that we will not end up in Hell in the future.

Ja, genau. With "God will not be hurt if we don't keep the Sabbath" I wanted to say, that if we don't keep the sabbath God will not have to bear the consequences.Of course God will be sad about us, seeing us not keeping his commandments and not walking on the path of truth. But it is us, who will end up in a bad spiritual condition/state and finally die spiritually.
