Verse 23:
"Siehe, eine Jungfrau wird schwanger sein und einen Sohn gebären, und sie werden ihm den Namen Immanuel geben", das heißt übersetzt: Gott mit uns.
i took this verse caus i like the meaning of immanuel.
i just thought that i could put my verse as a comment and not to post a whole new article online.
Matthäus 1, 20:
"Als er das noch bedachte, siehe, da erschien ihm der Engel des Herrn im Traum und sprach: Josef, du Sohn Davids, fürchte dich nicht, Maria, deine Frau, zu dir zu nehmen, denn was sie empfangen hat, das ist von dem heiligen Geist."
I think this verse is very important because it shows the beginning of everything: Maria is pregnant of the Holy Spirit.
Matthäus 1, 24:
" Als nun Josef vom Schlaf erwachte, tat er, wie ihm der Engel des Herrn befohlen hatte, und nahm seine Frau zu sich."
I chose this verse because I think that we should be like Joseph. We have to trust in God and do his will.
"Das ist aber alles geschehen, auf dass erfüllt würde, was der HERR durch den Propheten gesagt hat, der da spricht(Jes.7,14):..." (Mt.1,22)
This verse shows us a very important point: Jesus came to fulfill the scriptures and to fulfill the words of the prophets. The entire old Testament is like a fundament of the New Testament. The New Testament builds upon the Old Testament and completes it to a beautiful building. Just like Jesus said in Mt.5,17-18 ([Bergpredigt, in der Jesus sagt:]"Ihr sollt nicht wähnen, dass ich gekommen bin, das Gesetz oder die Propheten aufzulösen; ich bin nicht gekommen um aufzulösen, sondern zu erfüllen. Denn ich sage euch wahrlich: Bis dass Himmel und Erde vergehe, wird nicht vergehen der kleinste Buchstabe noch ein Tüpfelchen vom Gesetz, bis dass es alles geschehe.")

I took this verse because it is fat printed.
The second part of this verse effects, that we have to think about, what this sentence means to us.
It was amusing to see your posts in the comments. I had not expected that ^_^
It looks like everyone had put some thought into the Bible Reading. Some funny, some more indepth, all serve as good reminder for us. Keep it up :) So far so good.
