Matthew Chapter 11

Mt.11:2 And when John had heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples
Mt.11:3 and said to Him, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?”

When I read those two verses I asked myself: Why does John still ask Jesus, whether he is the one to come or not?? Didn't he experienced it himself that Jesus is the one to come?:

Mt.3:13-17
[Mt.3:13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him.
Mt.3:14 And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?”
Mt.3:15 But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him.
Mt.3:16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.
Mt.3:17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”]

So I think after John saw this, he should have known that Jesus is the one to come....
What do you think??

Matthäus 11,25:

"Zu der Zeit fing Jesus an und sprach: Ich preise dich, Vater, Herr des Himmels und der Erde, weil du dies den Weisen und Klugen verborgen hast und hast es den Unmündigen offenbart."

This verse reminds us that God is our Father who has the power above earth and heaven.
