Mattew Ch4

"13Leaving Nazareth, he went and lived in Capernaum, which was by the lake in the area of Zebulun and Naphtali"

I never really noticed these parts. But actually there are many verses where the basis of Jesus coming is being exposed- to fullfill Gods will. (And the main will was the plan of salvation..is this right teacher?) After reading this part i started to list all teh places Jesus has been to (only looking ar Mattew). You can say that he changed places for about six times. And the reason why he changed was in three cases, that God had told him, the parents or he was lead by the holy spirit.

1.Egypt -- "an angel of the LORD appeard to Joseph in a dream." Mt 2:13

2.
Nazarene -- "an angel of the LORD appeard in a dream to Joseph in Egypt" Mt 2:19
(quite funny... these two verses are nearly identical one one thing is switched)
3.The desert -- "Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert" Mt4:1

The other three places which are mentioned where Jesus went to or was were also already decided by God.

4.
Bethlehem -- Mt1:22 "all this took place to fulfill what the LORD had said"
5. river Jordan where the baptism took place -- Mt3:15 "do this to fulfil"
6.Capernaum -- Mt 4:14 "to fulfill what was said"

You also may add the place "throughout Galilee", so just the area where he preached, heald and lived after settling down in Capernaum and also the sea of Galilee where he calld his first disciples.

Matthäus 4,7b):

"Du sollst den Herrn, deinen Gott nicht versuchen."

In my opinion, this is the most important verse in this chapter beacause we often forget that God has an own will. We only can see our own desire and wishes why we can come very easily into a situation where we challenge God.

We can learn that we have to accept, to see and to recognize Gods will.

i often envy the characters in the Bible who are personally led by God/Spirit to do this and that or go here and there. it would be nice if God could also show us the way clearly without questions.

when God communicated personally with Abraham, Moses, Samuel, Saul/Paul, Peter, Gideon, Jonah, etc...the list goes on. all of them heard personal instructions from God. how nice it would be if we could have just a little of that special connection with God as they had.

But i think that the answer of our questions is written in the bible. You have to read Gods word attentively. In my mind, people do not seperate Gods will from the aim of Gods will. Only follow the steps which is written in the bible! Do not forget our objective. We are living for spreading the gospel. We know that life is not as easy as Abrahams or Daniels but only think on Stephanus: he dies for our Father. Our life is like his life. We will have a lot of troubles and problems and often (always) we do not know how to solve them because you have to find a solution between your faith or your family or friends. Sometimes is the better way the decision to go the "spiritual" way. We needn´t forget that we are in the end-time now. The work of satan is growing and it´s wrong to follow the advice of humans. Hear in your warmly heart full of truth and Gods spirit and NOT to make a lot of consideration!
