Mt.13:44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
Actually I really like this verse because it shows us one thing: how we should yearn for this hidden treasure-the kingdom of God. We should just be like little babies, who desire and yearn for the word of God and for the kingdom of God:
Pet.2:1 Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, 2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, 3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
And if we imagine with what kind of persistence small babies cry for milk.... then we should also yearn for the word of God with such a persistence.
