"57And they took offence at him.[...]58 And he did not to many miracles there because of their lack of faith."
The first verse reminds me about what Jesus had said in ch11 when he replied to Johns desciples. This is also the verse I took at that chapter. Jesus said there that those who do not take offence against him are blessed. And their reason for being offended is that Jesus reveals himself here differently as they have expected him to be and as they did knew him. They knew him as the carpenter´s son and a brother among 4 other brothrs and further sisters. How could such in their eyes normal person get wisdome and these miraculous powers. Is it not sad that these people received neither blessings nor miracles because of their lack of faith. These are the people who knew Jesus for .. 30(?) years. Anyway they where near him (at least pysically) for a long time. And also this change of Jesus is not bad at all. It is just he became superior to them. Is that the reason why they felt offended?
