Matthew Chapter 4

"Mt.4,17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."

Jesus begins to preach. I think it´s interesting to have a look at what he did before he begins to preach.

• Being a child he "grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him." And he also yearned for the word of God and studied the word of God (Lk.2,40-52).
• Then he was baptised by John the baptist and the Holy Spirit came upon him
• Finally he fasted for 40 days and faced great temptation- really great temptation... And he overcame it- he won this inner battle!!

Thats what is recorded in the Bible about Jesus` actions before he starts preaching...
