John 12

47. And if anyone hears My words and does not believe,[i] I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.

It is quite sad that a lot of people still do not understand the main mission of GOD. Many people out there think that GOD is a judge rather than a savior so they refuse to listen to word of GOD and believe in Him. They like to blame GOD on bad things that happened in their lives and think that GOD punishes them. This is so not right because GOD never has such intention; GOD wants to give the best for us. He really does. He promises us an eternal life and salvation. What else we can ask for? Many people still do not have correct mindset about the purpose of believing in GOD. And, it is not easy to explain about this to others people who never get in touch with Christianity. Indeed, we are blessed that we clearly know, that GOD is our savior. Hopefully, we can spread this good news to whoever who dov not believe in GOD yet.

i've had questions about these verses because they seem to contradict each other (vs. 47 & 48)

vs 48 says "There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day. 49For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it.

so 47 says won't be judged, but 48 says there will be a judge. at first i was a bit confused, because it seems contradictory, because i was thinking in terms of God as a whole. after thinking about it, it seems that Jesus is talking about the different roles that God plays, as Jesus Christ and as the Father in heaven. Jesus Christ the flesh came to this world not to judge, but to save as you said. however, the is still a judge, and that is the role of the Father in heaven. through the Father's words, men will be condemned at the end.

yay!!! we are finally on the same chapter :)

True!!! ... i didnt look from the other perspective that at the end men will still be judged. However, Jesus judge men after He offers salvation thus only those who reject Him (the saviour) will be judged accordingly.
